Day 1 - Arrive Barcelona

Your discovery of Spain begins in the vibrant city of Barcelona today. Be met on arrival at the airport and transferred to your hotel before a Welcome Dinner with your fellow travellers and Tour Escort later this evening.

Day 2 - Barcelona

With exquisite architecture at every turn, days of endless Mediterranean sun and a laid-back atmosphere, Barcelona’s charm is irresistible. Today you will discover the city’s most popular sights on a guided coach and walking tour. A highlight is sure to be a visit to the iconic Sagrada Familia, where you’ll be inspired by its magical, twisted turrets. Work began on this mighty medieval cathedral in 1882 and is yet to be completed. Afterwards, continue to Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter for a walking tour. Dating back over 2,000 years, this historic area of the city is captivatingly charming.

Day 3 - Barcelona, Seville

Bid farewell to Barcelona and board a high-speed train bound for Seville this morning. Home to beautiful baroque churches, winding medieval lanes and lavish palaces, this southern Spanish city will leave you in awe. Take in the sights of Seville and be amazed by the elegant architecture of Plaza de Espana. Home to an array of fountains, mini-canals and Venetian-style bridges, this grandiose monument is a sight to behold. This evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 4 - Seville

Today is yours to spend at leisure further discovering this beautiful city. You might like to visit Reales Alcazares, a magnificent Moorish royal palace with ornate arches and fountain-filled gardens. Another sight not to be missed Casa de Pilatos. This exquisite mansion is one of central Seville’s hidden treasures, and its beautiful gardens are well worth exploring. Alternatively, if you are looking to delve deeper into the city’s captivating culture, head to one of its many museums during your free time. Among the most popular are the Flamenco Museum and Museum of Fine Arts.

Day 5 - Seville

After breakfast this morning, enjoy a guided walking tour of Seville’s atmospheric Santa Cruz area. Home to beautiful old churches, tree-lined squares, and quaint whitewashed houses, Santa Cruz is Seville’s old Jewish quarter. While you are here, pay a visit to the spectacular Seville Cathedral. Completed in 1528, this World Heritage-listed architectural marvel is the world’s largest Gothic cathedral.

Day 6 - Seville, Córdoba, Granada

Leave Seville this morning and travel by train to Granada, a southern Spanish city nestled at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Along the way you will stop at Córdoba, home to winding stone-paved lanes and a spectacular mosque. This medieval city is rich in history and culture, and you’ll enjoy a guided walking tour to discover many of its highlights. Your tour includes a visit to the Mosque of Córdoba, a stunning monument to the two religions that have shaped Andalusia – Islam and Christianity. Explore the mosque and be amazed by its striking interior, said to be one of the world’s greatest works of Islamic architecture. Highlights include the mosque’s lovely courtyard and 54 metre-high bell tower. Later, continue to your hotel in Granada.

Day 7 - Granada, Alhambra

Today is sure to be a highlight as you visit the iconic Alhambra, a walled fortress housing magnificent Moorish palaces and gardens. Enjoy a guided tour of the complex and learn about its fascinating history, including a visit to the Generalife Gardens. Dating back to the 14th century, the gardens are filled with patios, pools, fountains, and stunning flowers. Tonight, your final Farewell Dinner is a delicious gastronomic affair in the atmospheric Albayzin district, followed by a fiery Flamenco show in Sacromonte.
